WHY ROMNEY CAN'T WIN

Steve Tfmo Elmoreby Steve Tfmo Elmore on Friday, April 13, 2012

Plain and simple truth: No one EVER won a contest, be it a game, and election, or a war, by playing ONLY defense.

Why is this an important reminder? Because THAT'S ALL ROMNEY CAN DO.

He's Mormon. I personally couldn't care less, but Mormons have a bit of nasty history with racism. Not saying Romney is, not saying any current Mormon is, but it's there and CNN is already attacking Romney on it, a "racist Mormon" going after the black president. THAT is reason number 1 why Obama WANTS to go against Romney; out of all the candidates, Romney is the most vulnerable to the race card and would be stuck on defense throughout the entire campaign.

Reason two: ObamaCare. No matter how Romney tries to pretty it up, he can not escape the fact that RomneyCare was a precursor to ObamaCare. Again, Mittens will have to take a defensive stance, which effectively takes any attack against ObamaCare off the table, and that's a pretty big gun to leave at home.

Reason three: OWS. Remember these guys? Who are they protesting? Rich white banker types. And Romney is the quintessential Rich White Banker type. Again, Mitt's on the ropes, covering his face and unable to get a jab in.

Reason four: Abortion, 2nd Amendment, Job creation....Mitt's record is pro-abortion. He's got it built right into RomneyCare. He's pro-gun control. And with his various enterprises, he's fired more people than he's hired. Duck and weave, duck and weave...punch? Not gonna happen.

Romney CAN'T beat Obama because he has NOTHING to attack with. Nothing. Zip. Nada. Zilcharoonie.

Conservatives are already pissed that the GOP is foisting YET ANOTHER useless piece of RINO crap on us, but some, like me, would still vote for him, just to get rid of Obama. But when the nomination's said and done and the REAL contest starts? He's gonna fold like a cheap lawn chair, and THAT is going to send many of us stalwarts running as far from the booth as our legs can carry us, or encourage us to write in our choices, which will serve to split the votes on the Right...same result, Obama wins a second term.

I'm backing Newt and hoping for a brokered convention, where Romney's lead in the polls will mean NOTHING. The remaining candidates plead their cases to the convention, and as we've seen, Newt SLAUGHTERS everyone in a debate. And it's more than that. I've never been a big fan of Newt's, but he's done one thing better than anyone else; he ATTACKS AND THE ATTACKS STICK. And when the opposition attacks, he blocks the shot and unloads even harder.

THAT is what it's going to take to beat Obama. Anything less, and we can kiss our country and our asses goodbye.
